Jeez I’m sorry Mr Jimbo, I had no idea it would be a hassle making them run right.

The Mato sprockets turned up today, unfortunately the teeth are identical to the Taigen ones...

Arse.

Looks like I'll be filing each tooth down to size... Image

Oh Im sorry... Definitelly mine are different, but are quite old (+7 yeas). Sometimes is hard to know what you are ordering. Some sellers dont know even the brand of the parts they have, or even worse, the same brand changes the pieces...

So I guess you have to work on your sprochets... And the other ones, will look great in a diorama.

EDIT: My mato ones dont have those two small holes.

Oh dear, both may have come from the same factory by the look of things.
They could have been advertised wrongly.

Doesn't Mato have their name on track links? And do Mato actually make winter tracks?

They're similar, but not identical, and there's no names on any of the kit either,

The gearbox mounting is a lot tighter on the Mato and there are mounting points for the hub cap that are not present on the Taigen - it feels like a lighter alloy too. :/

Good point about re-using the old ones on a diorama Rad!

I'm hoping that I can find a Dremel doohickey that will make the process easier...

Hi jimbo, i think i would still be looking for alternative sprockets, looking at the photo it looks like a lot of meat needs removing to get them to mesh correctly ???

Yep, it's not a task I'm looking forward to John...

The only other alternative I can find is from Heng Long:
