Judy, Judy, Judy ...

When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

I've just made myself laugh, I'm such a dummy.
Within the free stuff Dean sent me, there is the set of truck wheels and tyres. I thought it to be, two front wheels, one double rear wheel, one single rear wheel and a spare wheel.
I could hardly complain as they were free, I thought I'll order some more next time.
Then it hit me. . . . .
Two front wheels, one double rear wheel, one single rear wheel and a spare wheel.

What I really got after fitting the single rear wheel to the "spare"

Still no spare wheel though

Those turrets are a good, and surprisingly cheap, investment, Mick.
I have Dean's excellent Firefly turret, but, having spent many hair-pulling (and whisky consoling) hours fabricating mountings, fitting guns, and electronics, to the otherwise bare StuG IV, and Ludwig Cromwell...I was hoping not to repeat the procedure. (Even though Dean's turret does contain some studs and flanges to screw things to..resin can still be fragile, and tricky to work with
)
Like you, I'd decided to remodel one of the plastic (BB) turrets. I'm using Dean's turret as a template, along with some of the kit parts.

Re: Famous last words eaten by forum vendors.
I know it will be a bit of work to convert, especially without a turret to copy. But for me, with the electronics side already in place, I'll feel more confident.
The new heng long BB unit with side elevation works well, and will allow low bustle modification. Also, I'm sure an after market recoil unit must exist to fit this turret also allowing the low bustle. I'll just have to look for one.
Although, I've recently realised I'll need to find where I can get the correct mantlet. All ads to the fun lol.

Yes, and you'll need the 17-Pounder barrel too. I didn't notice one in that magnificent picnic basket of parts you received. Still, they're not that hard to come by. I think the Mato one works with BB.

Ah ha, if you look at my submitted picture in your unfinished project thread, your eagle eye will spot a BB firefly barrel
Oh, and I have so much more than what you see within the pictures I've submitted on this forum lol.

Re: Famous last words eaten by forum vendors.
They ought to include 'Parts.."
in the list. That's a woeful omission
