Hi Tom, a bit of lateral thinking on your elevation issue, if you work out how much of the recoil cog you need in order to get the desired recoil length, then you may be able to cut off the part of the cog that is fouling the turret floor.

Alternatively, I can print a 'mirror image' pivot that puts the recoil on the top of the pivot instead of the bottom.

There's always a cunning plan if you look for it......

Not right now. Gathering coinage.... potentially something bigger in the works for you guys. Even bigger than my firefly kits!

The centurion lives! Thanks to Stian Sollie for the express delivery on the propulsion dynamics gearbox. Was a really snug fit and required some modifications but went in. Test of the tk60, no sound as it was late but pleased with how it moves!

Cheers! I'm pleased although I think it needs the high ratio gearbox not the slow one.

I've made some good progress in the last week. Alwyn kindly resigned the recoil to offer a greater stroke and due to concerns I had about throwing tracks redesigned the sprocket with a built in track inducer.

Yesterday I started tackling the rest of the electrical side. My servo elevation conversion arrived from rctank electronics. I used a spare medium sized cog I had from the recoil on this as the cog supplied gave too much elevation and deoression. To secure this better I drilled through and added a self tapping screw to hold it on. The nice thing about the way Alwyn's designed this is the whole gun mount comes out in one piece. This really helped when I added the IR emitter tube. Due to the limited space I had to drill through one of the trunnions to get the tube through, but there's enough meat left either side and with the tube glued in its plenty strong enough. Flash was added at this point with a bright white 5mm led in the barrel. I will grind this flat when I'm in the workshop next so it's flush with the end of the barrel. Finally I added a tbu base I had from Clark to the commanders cupola. She's now battle ready!
