What help were you looking for? Whoever did the mods has done a pretty thorough job of the conversion...

Jentz and Doyle don't show smoke grenades on the late model Panzer IV's, so I'm pretty confident that they didn't have them. The S-Mines you see on early Tigers and Panzer III's were felt to be less than useless and were deleted by 1944, if not earlier.

For the (cosmetic) antena, I'd recommend Forgebear's MK-Modellbau one. For the drive, take a look at his black steel gearboxes.

Many thanks, will check out the aerial and boxes. Just general advice to bring this model on a little bit more and get it that bit better.
Then I will enjoy and have a tank for when I meet up with some of the others. Hopefully by then the King Tiger and Early and Mid Tigers will also be done

Nice tank, definitely no smoke grenades or s-mines on late Panzer IV's though.

Yep, late PIV had grenade and mine launcher. It was in the turret. Do you see two flat cilynders next to the turret? One was the late grenade launcher.

Lol, I just noticed your tank (very nice tank by the way) already has it. :)

Very nice build. I really like the paint work and the camo, and all the modifications are impressive too.

Only one tiny point of criticism, AFAIK the inside of hatches was painted dunkelgelb instead of interior-white, so you wouldn't have big white areas on the tank breaking the camo when the hatches were open.

Aha you are correct! The drawings I was looking at last night show what looks a bit like a radio antenna mount in the plug over the missing close in defence weapon - paraphrasing Panzer Tracts "Planned to be introduced January 1944. but due to shortages most Pazer IV's left the factories without them until July 1944. When this weapon was not mounted, the opening in the roof was closed with a screw plug"

Some info here: http://www.custermen.net/nahvert/nah.htm

Interestingly, the port you have looks like the plugged version!
