Re: Scratch built Challenger Auto track adjusters
I missed the original thread, but have just followed it though. I'm a big fan of improvised engineering solutions, and while you've produced some impressive output shaft bearings on the lathe, I have to applaud the use of adapted pop rivets, and other non-standard bits, in the track adjuster
Great stuff!

Hi.
Thx for the comments chaps, its been a while since i updated this thread and have done more to the Chally, still lots more to do with about 110 more bolts and brackets to add to the frontal scratch armour i have fitted and finish off and clean up the headlights, and add some brackets to the exhaust extensions.
I have also fitted a home made muzzle flash and scratch built barrell recoil.
Regards Sub.

Great work Sub - nice build!

Re: Scratch built Challenger Auto track adjusters
That looks great. Wish I had the skill to make the tensioners and that armour.
Fab work.

Nice - I always enjoy a decent Challenger build

Always on the search for Bootneck-proof kit

Hi,
Thought i would update this thread, its been a while since i last updated it.
The old Heng Long 2.4 v5.3 gave out so it has been upgraded to an Open Panzer TCB with Taigen sound and full lights, more later on that,.
I re made the front lights when i made the Dorchester armour and always intended to re make the front indicators and rear light clusters.
The front indicators are made from copper tube, brass and styrene card.
The rear clusters are all styrene, they still need the lenses and protective metal cage adding still.
A few pics of them.

Hello Sub
Great precision work. However, I am a little concerned about the strength of the soldered brass elements in rough terrain (off road). But I hope you foresaw it and the whole thing is very strong.
I will PM to you.
