To remove standard idlers,insert small cross head screwdriver down hole in idler.the screw is a coarse thread screwed directly into hull.
To fit idlers you will need to drill original hole out 4mm gives a nice tight fit.

Yes he is most certainly right, came off like a dream. Many thanks guys much appreciated. cannot for the life of me think why I never thought of trying that before. Getting old I guess. However, How do you remove the wheels from the suspension, I need to replace the springs as they are far too soft.

And can the suspension arms be made to have a little less side play.

Any suggestions most welcome. Andrew

The hub caps on the road wheels definatly come off. Again there is a cross head underneath.

Re removing road wheels.
Looking at the hull left hand side looking from front remove wheels and suspension arms as a unit front to back,replace spring and re-assemble back of hull to front.
Right  hand side is done from back of hull to front.
