Yes it must have been heart breaking to see it damaged like that. Hopefully they will get you new undamaged parts. The thing must weigh a ton. JC from our Ottawa One Sixth Club has a 1/6th tiger made out of resin and it weighs a ton. I have a 1/6th tiger that one of the club memebers scratchbuilt from pink foam and I can lift the hull with one finger. here are some pics of the foam tiger, still has alot of work yet to be done

Blake,
Sorry to hear about your stroke of bad luck you cant trust the postal guys to do a simple job, first thing I would de is contact your supplier and ask them for a list of spare parts with prices, I have forwarded a few links to help you.
Regards.

Although I cannot remove my new TIGER from the shipping container I have taken a few photos to share with the forum what I hope never happens to anyone.I cannot fully show the damage to the front plate but it appears that a fork lift missed going under so they went thru, and this shattered the driver side mud flap, frond plate, and sprocket with considerable damage to the track. I should have taken one more, but if you look closely at the third and forth picture you can see the camper top on my truck which is a ford F150 with a standard bed. This boy is big and would most likely be kept in my truck, the wife says to many models in the house,no room outside under the covered porch so in the truck it stays, that is unless UPS takes it for the insurance. I took this picture today and a friends grandson held the box open while I was taking photos for UPS,and the look on his face says it all.

SAX
I'm sorry to see that damage to your Tiger, I could imagine just how you must have felt. Is it repairable ? Do you think you could scratch build the damaged parts or get them fabricated some how ?  If not, will you get a full refund on the insurance ?

All the best

Hi,Bran I spent the last hour filing the claim with UPS,they can only receive 5mb of pictures at a time and they asked for 20 different pictures mainly of the box and the information on the box.At this point it is working like this, the vendor gets the claim money if and when paid. Then they pay me because their are no more tanks to send to me,and their are no parts. Now I have found everything I need to repair the tank, but the cost is as much as the tank.I will have to depend on the honesty and sense of fair play of LEGEND HOBBIES.Well that pretty much covers where I stand, between a rock and a hard place. The vendor also only insured for half the price I paid for the Tiger VI so they can't really loose only me. Now if they pay for replacement tracks and sprockets I will be able to repair the tank for about 400 u.s. If they keep the claim money and tell me to take a hike,I'm bad off. SAX

Blake, its unbelievable, I mean what the hell is the point of placing Fragile on the box, if some numb skull is going to drive a fork lift right through it. He wants putting up against the wall and ****

I believe those words are some code for drop from high place, stab with fork lift, then flip over and do it again. Now the people at LEGENDS HOBBIES are not very happy either. But they also did not insure the package for the amount I was lead to believe. If UPS pays the claim it will go to them, all 380.00us and then they will decide how to compensate me.If they just send me that amount if I put a 150.00us with it I can purchase the FOV TIGER VI TRACKS AND SPROCKETS,then about another 150.00us will replace the exhaust guards.I may be able to piece back together the driver side exhaust muffler upright and hide the imperfection behind the guard.as for the broken hinge on the drivers hatch,if I can purchase just the hinge then OK,the hatch is not damaged. As for the bent road wheels I believe I will manufacture a new set of control arms and bore out the wheels for bearings anyway.I new when I purchased this kit their were going to be mods to convert to R/C and thought the project would take a year.I still believe in the end I will have a great TIGER VI but this is a poor way to start.I still have my S13 to keep me tanken,so it's not all bad.And I've got my forum mates so their are guy's alot worse off than me. 1-SAXONDOG
