I recall reading about the Arms race and how the Yanks exaggerated the capabilities of Russian armour in particular, in order to lever more cash out of Congress. The Russians did the same thing, of course (except they didn't ask Congress for the cash

). I think it was the T72's automated loading system that was a special (cash) 'cause for concern' for the US military. What they failed to report was that this tank was really short of headroom; so much so that they almost needed dwarves to operate it, and that the loading system would quite happily select an arm, or a leg, to load
that into the breech.

They had pics of one, and I searched for the kit before I started on this....but they are nowhere to be found. I almost bought all of the parts for an early Stug but in the end decided to do the 704. It still won't be cheap as I wanted it to a heavy lumbering beast, so all metal lower...plus electrics to buy.

Does that mean it's not going to charge round the battlefield like an F1 car?

I've seen the ISU 152 kit, but not this one - Dave's (Forgebear) got one I think (I've got an SU 152 to build at some point).

Found a build log on the Armourama site, which provides more detail, and also points out some of the detail discrepancies in the kit being built. It does indeed seem that model manufacturers have taken some liberties with their products, so I am hoping that I have picked the right bits from the places that I have looked. I had designed complete rear oil drums and mounts, but it appears that these were never fitted, so the delete button got rid of those.

Amazing work!
With your permission, I post some photos of the specimen that was in the tank museum of the city of Kubinka. Note the additional face in the front of the bottom of the fragile.
ours faithfully to your work!
