Hi, this is a very good start.
I've done this same conversion. It can be made into a great model for a fraction of the cost of a Tamiya model. Keep in mind that with such conversions, there are more that one way of doing things and experimenting the various options is part of the fun. And there is always one more thing that can be done... Knowing when to stop, what is acceptable and how much effort to put into an area to get it perfect is a personal decision. The idea is to avoid regrets later, when it is too late. It happens that I redo something twice or more because I am not happy with the results, trashing the whole previous day work, as frustrating as it can be. It's part of the game. Conversions take a different mind set than building a true kit. After a couple of these, you will find out that building a regular kit lacks challenges.

I picked the steel wheels up from Asiatam. We were placing an order anyway, so it saved on postage. I think they were about $8US a pair.

The lead roadwheels are nice, how were they to fit ?

I'm really working on a budget of just about zero on this project, so it'll be a cheap build. Not too many bells and whistles, but a lot of scratch building and re purposing.

As to the wheels, Herman, All the fitting involved was removing the plastic HL wheels and installing the steel ones. No trimming or fitting at all. I was really quite pleased with them looks wise and they are actually pretty heavy.

To be honest, Carl, I never really noticed that the sprocket was different until you mentioned it. I guess I'll have to dig and see if I've got a set, or hunt them up.

Thats a nice looking conversion kit. Been looking at these for one of the next projects as I have a Panzer IV chassis with metal suspension that is crying out for conversion.
Like the work and it is going to be a great tank

I think I have a sprocket set mate, no use to me as I will not be doing another Pz 4 until the next ice age
At work now but will confirm later and advise

Here’s my Profileline Jagdpanzer IV...

Nice Jagd! I hope mine comes out half as good. As I was looking at your Jagd, I was thinking that the rear side plates on mine are a tad short top to bottom. I'll have to do some measuring and maybe just make some new ones out of sheet plastic.

Here's the camo I think I'm gonna use...
I like the hard edge of the dots with the soft edge of the sand. Should be pretty easy to paint.

Does anyone know if the return roller supports on a PZIII are the same as a Jagd? I found some metal ones on evilbay, but I'm not sure if they'll work. Any suggestions?

The return rollers you need are the late style steel rollers with no rubber. I think AsiaTam might do them.

Yip, got a set of sprockets Captain.

I also have a full metal hatch set for one of those Pz IV damnation's
Im certain you can use them on your JPzIV
