You will be much better off getting the kit from Danville. Do hop up there and while there you will see their indoor battlefield that has meets 5 or so times a year. Bearings can be put in the wheels of the Sherman any time, the wheels bolt together. This can not be said of most of the other tanks available. Bearings are always worth the buck apiece, anything that reduces friction is worthwhile.

Depending on what you will do with the tank, metal tracks are a judgment call. Best are Mitosal but they are not inexpensive. Stock tracks will last a long time. The transmissions are more than robust enough to carry metal tracks for a long time.
