So far, so good. Right now we're working on 200 liter German fuel drums. A while back I picked up quite a few frets of photo etch end caps for fuel drums, so once the design is final I might be able to spread a few around.

The stuff Alwyn is doing with tires and tire molds is just fantastic. He posted the openscad files for his new tires so i'm going to give them a crack. I've been studying, but still haven't tried a design of my own, but I think I'll get there soon.

I now trying to look up recoiless rifles and thinking they be well easy to 3d print. Would look great on back of the next GAZ truck.

So in terms of the Hilux I have a highly feeling it just looks boring!
So I am thinking it needs some militaryness haha.
Needs an M60 mounted on the roll.over bar with a man holding it and shooting forward. Obviously the body needs a repaint and maybe some camouflage drapped over.

Now.looking a good source to purchase close to 1/16 scale Modern American weapons haha

You can try to make a Somali Technical with a DSHK in the back but you will have to leave the model on the shelf. Any small items put on these trucks get blown off and destroyed at the first bump on a wall. They also flip over easy.

That's a cool idea.
As for fixing I would make permanent and use metal clasps and epoxy to keep it fixed.

So I am not convinced this is actually 1/16 as it looks much too large side by side the HL trucks.

Looking at wheelbase of similar age Hilux 2,616mm vs 1,689mm width I actually measure wheelbase as approx 185mm and width 120mm.
Therefore I reach conclusion it is close to 1/14 scale!

That wouldn't really surprise me. The HL Walker Bulldog is closer to 1/14 than 1/16 as well.

Very simple checks using Wikipedia dimensions and a calculator lol.

I have now upgraded this Truggy more. Made a steel roll cage and tied it down into the rear plastics. Actually quite sturdy and looks a bit cooler.

Next step is to remove body and repaint it and get the camouflage ready. Now need a suitable m60 or similar and make a frame to hold it and turn this into fast attack Hilux truggy

Waiting some LEDs and resistors for filling those lamp units aswell
