Oz

When you use the Klear through the airbrush, do you thin it ? If so, with what and what is the ratio ? Also what psi are you spraying at ?

Thanks for posting this, its a great tutorial, especially to me, as I'm a novice with the AB.

Cheers

hi mate.
theres no need to thin the klear its fine straight out of the bottle, i spray it at about 20 psi and i mist rather than spray it on in several coats this way you get no runs or pooling of the klear.................cheers oz

Hi Oz, Thanks for that. What do you clean your AB with after using Klear ? Can you use Isopropyl Alcohol, or will distilled water do ?

Cheers.

steiner.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   i like to use acetone but you can use isopropyl without any problems, i think most guys find the airbrush a bit daunting to start with but once you work out your pressure settings  and paint to thinners mix things advance pretty quickly.

i use tamiya paints on about everything i do and use a basic paint/thinners mix of one pot of tamiya to two pots thinners, my basic compressor pressure  varies between 15 and 25 psi depending on how fine the paint work is i,m working on................cheers oz

Oz, I did not take a picture of the prep work or prime, here is my turret with the dark gray base coat, next to stock gray. You were right about the black primer, and the gray dried with no runs.My first tank with airbrush.More to come SAX  Added a few more pictures, copula came out very well.Light coats as you suggested over the black primmer produced no pooling or runs, nor did it prevent detail showing like the bolt heads.
