Honestly I preffer to have everything in one board. About configuring the way it drives, you can do it with a programable radio. You can set inertia, (to make it feel more heavy, taking some time to brake, seting spin and etc etc.) I have a ASP2 in my sherman and trust me, only with some programming, it feels way way WAY different to my ASP2 king tiger.
The best thing is you can do it with all aftermarket boards, (even stock tamiya) it is just a matter of programming the radio...
So definitely Id preffer to have a fully functional ASP 3 with no need to attach anything to it.
