We all know that pink with purple and scarlet were indeed the correct German colors

Pink was actually used as a piping color on some uniforms.

This strikes me as the most quintessentially British moment of all time. My wife, who is English, has impressed upon me before that the correct response to any crisis is to put the kettle on.

Anyone who has been a member of a "Recon" team knows that you spend a lot of your time crawling through mud and finally laying up in an insect infested sinkhole desperately searching for your target usually to no avail,
