Another 3D printer in the Forum, We can always do with more of them,
I wonder if I might make a request?
When you are assembling the V2 warhead please do not type in the "Pyongyang" coordinates into the GPS.
I think Donnie has enough problems without Home Printed V2s raining down on his biggest enemy..
Shaun.

Well, your debut on the Forum is certainly going to go a with bang

I'm very, very impressed. All the more so, as i have an (as yet) unused 3D printer waiting for inspiration. Finding room for it is the first problem, and then I've never so much as opened a CAD program (sic). Doubtless, the 3D devotees on the Forum will be quietly admiring your progress, though, and it will be thoroughly justified

Hehe, I wish I could claim the brownie points, as I've no idea (yet) with CAD I just downloaded the .STL files from Thingiverse & press print lol, ok it's not quite that simple but it's not far off. Most people I've come across use Cura to orientate, cut & scale the model & create the gcode to print, I use Slic3r (yep Slic3r) it's nice & easy to understand. I can help you with any questions you might have & even create gcode files for you to print directly from if it helps, don't be frightened of it, what's the worst that could happen

Ok I've cheated, 110mm diameter soil pipe is exactly the right size for the middle section. I'll take it into work tomorrow to get the ends squared up & shortened by 20mm.
I bought an old unmade model of a V2 & transportation trailer from EBay last night, hopefully I'll be able to replicate the trailer at 1/16.

Haha! Spotted a Chitty on your desk. Have you seen the Chitty slot car printed by Chase Cars at SlotForum?

Estnische, thank you very much for sharing this link, I was totally unaware of this! You've hit on my main anorak subject, I've collected anything I could find to do with the film for years, I'll certainly try & purchase one or two lol

The Chitty on my desk will at some point be converted to the Chitty boat.
I'm a bit OCD & I always have LOTS of projects on the go.

Just a quick update, as a side project I've been working on a 1/16 Willys Jeep & a trailer for it. I started yesterday on a Hanomag SS-100 to pull the V2. 3D printing can be good at times but it's only as good as the 3D model you start with, the little blue Hanomag is what I'm working from

Sorry my bench isn't very tidy

Cheers
