Hi Gunnar,

Sorry mate, I've looked at your picture and can't see what you mean.
Is it the grab handles I've added?

Yes, Sir! I didn´t know the excact word for those handles. In German they are called "Buegel", translated "frame"!?
Sorry for my mistake....

No problem Gunnar, I wish my German was as good as your English.
With reference to the 'buegel', my late version 1:25 academy jagdpanther has them fitted and I do like the extra detail they add to the engine deck, so I think I'll be leaving them in place for now.

Cheers

Hi Chris,

The side skirts are permanently attached to the underside of the hanging rail using 5mm styrene angle bar. The 4 'bolt' heads on each skirt are dress making pins lifted  ;) from the wifes sewing box. I drilled 4 holes, pushed the pins through, secured them with a blob of CA, then snipped off the excess length of the pin.

Hope this helps

Hi All,

I've cut 4mm off the top of the gun mantlet, removed the LED, then padded it out a bit with good old milliput. So I thought it was about time the jagd got some paint.

Firstly, the whole tank was sprayed matt black. After this had dried thoroughly a light coat of tamiya dark yellow was sprayed on.

Even with an undercoat of matt black the tamiya dark yellow still dried too light for my liking so I gave the whole of the hull a pinwash with heavily thinned tamiya red brown to tone it down a little.

When the pinwash had dried I gave the whole thing a coat of slightly diluted johnsons klear.
Next up was the dark green stipes. For this I used vallejo german dark green.

Once the green paint had completely dried I added the red-brown using tamiya red brown.

When dried yet another coat of johnson's was sprayed on. Next up is detailing and highlighting then it will be time for some light weathering. Let me know what you think of it so far.

Hello John

I like the camo scheme you have done, very nice.  I like the broad, soft edged airbrushed pattern, Did you use a low psi and did you hold the AB not that close to the model.

Cheers

Thanks for the comments lads, it's quite a while since I used an airbrush so I was a bit anxious about how it would turn out.

Steiner, you are spot on, 15psi with the airbrush about 3 inches away from the tank.

Cheers
