Ok so no looking at buying the first of many upgrade parts finally.
I was going to get alot of stuff from Tank Army but yes after more searching alot of UK suppliers.

For the early Tiger for my wife i am going to fit metal driveshaft gears with the plastic gearboxes and see how it goes. They are cheap. I also now have alot of plastic tracks and idlers etc to keep it running.

I am however going to fit a track tensioner, but which one! There are loads to choose!

As for metal tracks and idlers and sprockets for the Late Tiger build, do Mato items fit?
The late roadwheels seem to be a bit of a pain as they will not fit the HL base.
Can anyone point me in the right direction of a thread to read up on metal tracks and idlers etc for a Late Tiger HL build.

Decided for some strange reason I wanted to have the rear hatches to open on my Tiger....

Hard bit to get hinges working and panel gaps to work. Then have to make the hook clamps!

Also decided driver port had to be opened. Yes this meant peeling back the zimmerit!

I have also cut back the front single headlight so I can fit the slit headlamp cover.

Trial fitted metal tools & also bought alot of steel cable to make up tow ropes.

Will I'm really impressed with your build and can't wait to see more. I like the idea of the metal pins for the flaps. You are progressing really well

Going along strong.
When you mention moving stowage box, do you mean the one on the turret rear ?

Question. I am going to cut aerial off my Tiger mid production as there should only be 1. However I am going to move the current aerial and fit the upgrade aerial where it should go. So does this really mean in effect I should cut off both aerials?
Can't seem find answer on that one!
