Well I got a set of three, wire cutters, needle nose and angled jaws from Ebay or somewhere about 8 years ago, cost about £5 for the set and they are all still going strong...

For the price of the Tamiya ones I could replace mine every year and still be in pocket. :haha:

...and a 'seven o'clock' razor blade would be cheaper still, and probably just as effective; but I've sprung too many leaks with those in the past. 8O In the end, ignored all the advice hear- pretty much- and went for the bespoke Tamiya cutters with
ultra fine jaws. Yippee. Compared them with a cheapo cutter that cam with a kit, and another I'd acquired somehow, and the Tamiya tool gave them an inferiority complex when tested biting into an assortment of old sprues. My ex-wife's home made biscuits might have defeated them all, though. They were like kevlar: real jawbreakers. ;)
I thought I was beginning to become a sad geeky 'bas***d by worrying whether Tamiya nippers could really be a cut above the rest; but none of it. Youtube is actually populated by nerds running comparison tests on them... 8O :haha:
I don't know whether to feel relieved, or slightly disturbed.. :lolno:
