What's nice about Amazon Prime photos is obviously you have to pay for the Prime membership for the year and I get free shipping but every photo that I take with my phone or any device that's linked to my account automatically gets uploaded and then save to the cloud so I have access to it no matter what photo site I use my photos are stored to the Amazon Prime photos
Tanks alot....

Good morning,
I host and edit photos from either phone or camera on my PC and upload directly onto the Forum thread. You gentlemen should cut out the middleman and do the same.

Wonder how many people have been caught out.

Mick.
Almost every photo I've ever posted here is now blocked.

I wonder what would happen if we all started deleting all of our photos at PB? If enough did it they'd have all these registered accounts with nothing posted in them. Would that send a message, or am I pipe dreaming? I've got less than 700 photos there, since most of my stuff is in video format. I just hope this doesn't give youtube any ideas! What? Who said that? Shut up, Man, they might hear you. :haha: :/ @)

If youtube jumps on this bandwagon my 15 minutes are up! :shh: :shh: :/ :shifty: :silent: :silent:

Like you, Painless, I upload pics direct from my Mac. .. No third party hang ups for me; and so no pack drill. I have a special file for RCTW that includes every pic I've ever uploaded; though some are infinitely forgettable :D
Resizing is simplicity itself with the Mac OS 'Preview' tool...and also... I like my independence.

This also raises the issue of the 'Cloud' storage trend. This is where you hang your washing, whether dirty, or otherwise, on somebody else's line. Apart from privacy factors, hacking, and profiling potential, cloud storage leaves us depending on someone else to preserve our digital lives. Whatever happened to the external hard drive; the SD card or even the humble old re-writable DVD-R for home storage? With this new trend, people buy music and don't even bother downloading it
as they can just 'stream' it from a cloud source. Why? Personally, I'd rather have the CDs, or at least MP3s on an independent drive....something tangible for my money. The same applies to my photos..
Just a thought.

Never used by form of on line storage for photos. Mine are all kept in triplicate on 3 different disk drives. This way, hopefully I am protected against any failure.
