Just to say that although it may look impressive, it would be exceedingly unlikely to function as an RC tank. It might go backwards and forwards, but getting all of those tracks, wheels, and sprockets to actually overcome the friction with each other and the ground (it would be very heavy) would be well nigh impossible. Gaining access to the moving parts to push tracks back onto sprockets etc would be a complete nightmare.
I can't see anyone attempting this anytime soon, it wasn't built in real life, probably because it would never have been able to move.

Damn...........and Im just dumb enough to struggle for a year to prove you wrong out of blind spite
I have successfully cojoined 1/16th KT links, of course not tested in motion, but they looked right !
Actually, the only bit that really shortens me up is the 1/6th supply.
I know I could make the rest, but the tracks, roadwheels & sprockets in that scale are hard to get, expensive, and as Ive not worked with the scale before, a huge unknown for the investment.
The bloody thing would be 2.2 METRES long in 16th scale !
Cordless drill motor & gearbox units could provide drive, or, garage door opener motors(yes, I looked a those as well.)
Yes, Ive been plotting................but its just a "Tank-too-Far"

True, it's so simple an Australian could do it, should be no challenge to a Kiwi....
