Re: TK24 problems again

Post by gisalook »

Hi guys.
I put the tank together and only the right track is moving when I move the left stick forword and back. If I move the right stick left or right the other track moves. I have looked at the transmitter and it looks ok. I have not messed with the transmitter since the board went back to Tankzone.
Can anyone help.
Adrian

Sounds like it's gone into mixer mode 2 (mixer off) you need to reprogram it to mixer mode 1

Hi guys
What is in mixer mode 2. My transmitter has 30 channel memory and I've started a new slot in my memory with no mixing on so I dont think its the transmitter.
Can the board br put into mixing mode?
Thanks
Adrian

You need to read the Clark manual. The Clark boards have different mixer modes to suit different vehicles.

Mixer mode two is no mixing and the motors on separate channels, so in your case throttle would control one motor and steering would do the other; which I think is what you describe. Hopefully it's an easy fix for you :)

Do youre self a favour, and do a print out of the board layout, stick (movement) layout and 'programing settings ( done with the sony remote )
So much easier than to have to go back and forth to the pc screen

I wouldn't blame the board, I know from recent personal experience that servo quality is very hit and miss. I now order them direct from China about ten at a time. It doesn't take much to kill them, even the steel geared ones. If there is any resistance at all to whatever they are pushing on, the tiny motors in them will fail. I figured that having a stock of cheap servo's that I could replace easily was better than expensive ones that may well go bad anyway.

Fingers crossed, all of mine are now working ok, but if anything does happen, at least I can swap one out in minutes.

Just fitted a TK24 in my T90, plugged everything in, copied an existing TK24 model set up on the tx, fired it up and everything is hunky dory. If it helps, I just left the board as it comes, and hooked up the channels as 1,3,2,4. The only thing to change is the channel reversal, depending on the polarity of the turret motors. I switch the motor polarity if need be, so that all of my tanks run the same way.
