Unfortunately, it only mention Heng Long and Taigen. I have found the relationship between Taigen and Torro somewhat confusing as at times their names seem to be interchangeable. I suppose my question should be do they use the same electronics?

I think torro and taigen are exactly the same. Im not 100% sure but definitelly they sell exactly the same items.

I think both of them are resellers, taigen for the US and torro for europe, and the products are made in china, like everything, lol.

Wow they do have a Heng Long compatible item in stock Herman any idea when the ASP will be available? It's always out of stock. I agree I liked the old website layout.

The main reason for the ASP beinng unavailable is that one of the main components (one of the chips or wathever the name) is\was worldwide out of stock. I dont think it will take a lot more time for be available again.

I'd really like to buy one. Maybe they can allow you to "reserve one"?

Carl, First find the "ASP"out of stock box on the RC AUS Shop page,
Then Click on the "MORE INFO box" and you will be asked to register your details and they will let you know.

I have got much good news back about a compatible system.
some components are still on the way, but very soon, and for a very realistic outlay, I can get my sticky-mickeys on an I.R. system that will allow me to battle with Tamiya and other aftermarket boards using an H/L electronics system
Will keep you up to date as I get along the path.
