Poor old Mattdragron, school exams playing on his mind, yes he means the 27th, unless he,s going to walk?
Had not thought of taking tanks but if we do, i do not think that we could use them there because of the insurance issue!
Fleshy ............ if those going could pm me with there mobile numbers then i am sure we could meet somewhere inside or out as there are a few faces that we have not yet seen!
i of course will pm my number back, thank lads..................
hmm yes the insurance...... incase a tank hits a person in the foot breaking there ankle so they fall over into a grand stand supporting pole which collpes catching fire to the BBQ underneath which then sets the whole of bovvy tank meuseum and all the tanks on fire... hmmm we might need it
Hi Pete &Matt you have insurance we took it out last year so did the rest of us when we went to Bovington last September ,the membership to the club we joined and payed Rob the fees for the Year .Check with Rob .
Yes the £3,000,000+ minimum public liability, isn't just for the tank, it also covers the tranny, which could effect other RC models at range, If you can cast your minds back a few years ago when a model aircraft chap turn his TX on not thinking and forced down a already flying model which crashed in to spectator and kill them, its that sort of thing (heaven forbid owt like that happens) that's covered too.
While on the subject of Bovington, Armortek and members of the South West Tank Club/UKTC will be at Tankfest as offical guests of the museum, running 250kg all metal tanks so if you plan to run, might I suggest you talk to them first or you could be needing the insurance if one of them buggers gets loose (it only has to twitch and it will pull a adult over).
Ive got a day pass for the Saturday, back to camp Sunday though!
I'm from Feltham (Heathrow) if anyone one would like a lift let me know and will see if I can pick you up on the way. I'm picking up a mate from Woking early start!
