The fog horn sound is the turret rotation sound file. I get it on my Bulldog TK22. I always have to nudge the stick left or right after I switch it on to get rid of it. If you have a programmable tx you can tune it out by adjusting the trims and sub trims. It seems to be very sensitive when it tries to read the centre point.

As mentioned. the tank will creep forward if the other stick isn't centred. Trims are the cure.

I hope that I don't break too many things when I strip it down for the paintjob.

Hey John, which TD did you get, the M36 or the M10? And be very careful how you speak if you have to contact Mato. With those RTR tanks they say any mods will void the warranty and that includes even just removing the tracks. Jackalope had a real problem with them over his M36.

As for posting photos and videos, I have a little tutorial video of posting videos, and I think Wibbs did one on regular photos. For photos I upload to photobucket first and then copy to the thread here.

Here's how you post video.

Morning all, max-u52 thanks for the tutorial, I will try to follow it, on the mato warranty you mentioned if any work
required has to be done through mato then I can imagine most of the tanks would be returned if the new owners
didn't fettle them, I have 11 tanks and the only ones that didn't need any work from the box were a torro KT and
a heng long Sherman/bulldog.

John, unless Mato has addressed this they supply the M36 without a volume control for the Clark board, they simply jump the TK22 socket so it outputs full volume all the time. If this is still the case you really need to add a volume control pot (10k) as not only might it be causing the buzzing but it may over heat the TK22 audio amplifier as the twin speakers they hooked up are 4ohm, or at least they are on mine (wired in parallel).
Also, buzzing can sometimes be heard from the recoil and/or elevation servos - which is generally nothing to worry about unless something is stuck or displaced of course.

Hi, yes its the m36, thanks for the heads up about the volume pot, that's why I couldn't find one :haha:
I will get one sorted asap, I have no further odd noises from it today, the only issues have been to sort one of the
bogie wheels out which was seized solid, a little 3in1 and a run round sorted that out, I have to have a look at the
rear engine door as it wont stay shut and I will be jiggling the layout about to fit a tarr smoker and a larger speaker,
the on/off switch also needs properly mounting.

regards john.

Ludwig,
All of the same things I am working with on mine. The battery recharge will be behind the engine bay door for days when I don't feel like removing the Upper to charge it. I have a Tarr smoker thanks to Jack but decided not to use it on this model. Too heavy and draining the battery already so using the extra space to fit a large speaker ala Max. The Speaker Pot I ordered from Mato is stupidly short on cable so that will get set to 75% and mounted on the divider between the gearboxes and the electronics. The On\Off is on the way and will be mounted under the drivers hatch like 'In The Mood' has. So far it has been fun but super detailing awaits...
regards,
Painless

Painless, I have a whole bag full of volume pots and some of them have fairly long wires. If you need one I'll send it to you, just let me know. Or, I also make little extension cords for those so I could send you one of those. Your choice. Just let me know.
