It was indeed the UK Tank Club, we've attended the Cuckoo Fayre for the last 3+ years one year I'll got myself but I was busy at another UKTC do "tup north", anyway your pictures heres a little info.

This has Stuart Humphrey (UKTC President) Jadgpanther, John Hollands Sturmtiger, Anne Fox's Halftrack & Richard Fields JS

Third picture
In the background you can see Stuart's Stug IV and Richards SU100, the KT I can't put a finger on it but I'll bet I see it next Saturday at the annual UKTC BBQ, and further in the background you can see some of Ray & Kieren Spooners Allied builds (all scratch build)

Forth Picture
Is Kierens Churchill and a little bit of his bren gun carrier

Where do you get parts for the 1/6th tanks? Things like metal tracks and suspension arms etc?

They all come with the models. With Kierans stuff its all cobbled together from anything he can find. The tracks are food conveyor belt bits if memory serves me right. Very ingenious.

Dont think its fair to call the UKTC the nasty forum. On the whole they are helpful and know their stuff but they are very 1/6 focused. I think people mistake the lack of responses to smaller scale questions as snobbish when it is a case of simply not knowing. In fact Ive seen the chairman at the time state exactly this.

More a case for horses for courses me thinks. Maybe DD could state the UKTC case on this one? As a member in both clubs over the years you goes where the knowledge is and linger where the company suits. Neither is wrong.

just like to add i wasnt saying the uk tank club was nasty?  they are a great bunch and seemed realy friendly at the show, i remember a few years ago the did have some smaller scale tanks too on display, hope i havent upset anyone 

no not at all, on reading your post again it was obviously not said in the first person so my apologies. Just that over teh years there has been enough in gighting on the various forums , the last thing we need is inter forum bashing and tend to be overly sensitive when it raises it head. But my apologies in this instance not that case at all.

I don't think there is anything nasty or elitist about the UKTC forum either(and if there is let me know as I will do my best to remove it) as Keith says the forum is more 1/8, 1/6 and now 1/4 scale focused, because thats the way the club has gone (UKTC 10yrs old Sept 2010), and the 1/16 knowledge has been lost over the years and our Hen Long knowledge is pretty much none existent, so if your questions aren't answered it's because we don't know, and for no other reason.

I'm very fortunate, I've met Keith (Rocketman), Chris (Grompix) and a group of you at the Notts do last Feb, I'll be honest with you I was all for clearing out my 1/16 collection (needed the space) but after meeting up and running my 1/15th & 1/16th models I decided to keep them, as I had a real good time running around the town we build, I've actually aquired back my Tamiya Pershing minus it's DMD's and I'm in the process of using the Hen Long electronics to bring it back to life (burned up a RX13 board, so looking for RX18 if anyone can recommend a supplier), so hopefully that will put your minds at rest, and we'll see you around, sorry Matt I don't battle I couldn't get my head around the Tamiya system for not being quite right (more than one hit for Tiger to take a Sherman out), sorry

The reference to the 'other forum' is a jab at RCU (and their practice of discipling members that mention this forum), and most definitely not aimed at UKTC
