The trick might be to undo the switch and pull out the wires so you can trace it out I see they sneak under the motors in your pictures. Hard to follow them.

I just figured it out you have the Taigen harness with the charging jack...

Not sure about your other issue but here's the wiring

You might have some loose wires in the upper hull or turret. Someone looks to have cut off the charging jack. Could even be your Taigen board. I had a similar issue and just changed the board and all worked fine.
I know it sounds silly but make sure your battery is fully charged too

Hi Carl, Yes the battery is charged and the tank runs around no problem. Also this tank Doesn't have the charging jack :| I think they must have been connected to the motor for the track recoil and maybe because they are cut the whole gun system aint working  .I am pretty sure they don't go to the turret, But I'm not sure where on the motors they would go, I need someone with the same KV-1 to compare wiring :wtf: :wtf: Thanks Carl

Hey Carl , I think you are correct. I taped they cut wires out the way ,yes probably from a charge plug , I did what you said and turned it on and with a screwdriver I touched the microswitch together and bang it fired and recoiled with sound. So do I need a new micro switch  Cheers Duncan , oh and thanks for the video on soldering the xt60 plugs , I have now just put 1 on my tiger and Lipo is charging ,just as well the plugs come in bags of 5 because I melted the first 3 :haha:

Great news Mr Tankytopy glad I could help. Not sure but with my micro switch I just bent it a bit with a flathead screwdriver and it worked perfectly since. I know you can buy one online. There's also a YouTube video from Taigen tanks (Eric) that shows how to do thisImage

Hi Carl strange thing is when I push the stick up to fire the red firing light flickers dimly and the barrel goes up and down , so possible a short in the turret or a faulty gun on /off switch ? I will strip the turret down next weekend and see whats in there :wtf:

Yes it sounds to me like some dodgy wiring in the turret I might have mentioned that earlier. The one concern I have is with that chopped off charging setup did any wires touch metal and short something out? I had a very similar situation with a tiagen Panzer III. After not getting proper turret functions I found some shorted wires and that also fried the original Taigen board and I had to replace it.

Best of luck with the tank. The kv tanks are great runners

Here's an Airsoft wiring diagram. It probably varies a little from model to model, but the specifics are the same. I posted this last year for a similar query. You can follow it, or just look at the wiring schematics below.

Thanks for the Diagram 43rd. The recoil wires on my tank are the other way round and they work ok ,on my tank there is a white wire running from the 3pin plug to the barrel elevation motor which is live when I push the stick down to elevate the barrel , that's ok and does what it should ,problem is when you push the stick up to fire gun ,the white wire remains live and the barrel goes up , the red wire for the gun is dead. So I'm not anyway electrical minded but I think power should cross from the barrel motor to the red gun wire, but this isn't happening .I did notice someone has oiled the gears on the elevation unit and put far to much oil as the motor was covered in it ,so I not sure if this has caused the problem or the little resistor on the motor can be the problem . Any ideas anybody Thanks.
