Field of Armor makes plastic 1/6 scale RC tanks. They say they use ABS, 3/16 thick.
As a machinist, I sometimes get just a wee bit amused at the big deal that people make out of CNC. CNC is simply an operating system. It stands for computer numerical control. Basically all that means is that the computer is making the machine move around pretty much the same way your transmitter makes your tank move around, only instead of your brain running the tank the computer is running the machine. I can do almost all the same stuff on a manual machine that they can do on CNC just not as fast. So if someone wants to charge you extra money because something is CNC machined tell them to blow it out their butt. CNC Machining makes things a lot easier and quicker and more profitable for them and you shouldn't be charged extra because they're going to use a CNC machine as opposed to a manual machine.
