Next was the dark yellow base. I am not basing this on any tank or unit in particular so just a generic three colour camo:

I used AK worn effects to add a bit of wear:

Then applied the green and red brown:

As an aside, all my spraying is with a Tamiya spraywork (one of those single action units that runs off the 7.2v tank battery.

The next step was some weathering, for this I use AK streaking grime, some pigment binder and a light brown pigment. I wasn't going for a heavy worn look, just dusty etc.

I like to have the tank at the edge of the airbrush booth and spray from below and front to back, I think this way the dust blows up around the wheels, etc. in a fairly realistic way

And an outdoor shot:

Just need to get tools, etc. finished off now. Its running an IBU2 Pro, borrowed from my Pzr IV.

Just noticed this, what a stunning kit (and work)! Excuse my ignorance but is this something that is available or now obsolete (coz I want one for next but one project, etc)?
Excellent work.

I know from experience that Milliput zimmerit can be a slow and painful job but it's well worth it. Great result all round.

Jeez I like that

I printed my Zim into a waffle pattern on my STuG III and after covering most of it up, wondered why the effort, but when you just look and reflect.................

Thats when you know why

Lovely!

I finished my own not too long ago, but used the Taigen recoil...that was a pain to fit!

I think the main "problem" with the lenght of the metal hull, is that they for some reason designed it, so the top hull would sit a bit back.
I used the metal hull for a Pziv I built some time ago and it fits well(had to extend the front fenders), except for the detail oriented, where you get an extra seam in the front.

Thanks  I have a Stug 3 to do sometime as well. I never used to like them but having seen a few at the Club and here, decided to have a go and glad I did.
