I often find myself building up a 1:35 or 1:48 scale kit from time to time ( the sizes I was very familiar with until I discovered the large scale tanks)
I am in the midst of building a 1:35 Panzer IV it's an older kit I've had sitting in my shop and I find it helps keep my hands and eyes sharp like basic training for the large scale models...
I can test paints and weathering techniques and I can come up with some great ideas while tending to the smaller Panzers, Shermans etc...
I think at times the smaller scales like you have just completed are so much more difficult with little room for error.
That's why I admire the static builds and smaller scale builds.
Keeps my mind sharp for the big ones.
