Brilliant pete thanks for the headsup on that one

Hi Rob have just used my last DBC on the Stug so the next tank will try this system out .Bill didnt say how much the postage was but I think it will be about $15.

I knew this was coming out, but I must say I am surprised at how inexpensive it is.  DBC's are great, but this looks to be even a better value.  As far as I am concerned this is exactly what the doctor ordered.  I feel for El MOD and David, as this will put some real pressure on them.  Good for the hobby though.

YHR I have to agree with you on all points its just a pitty the DBC Sound card cant be upgraded with Bills new sound card.But the original DBU Can be used (which is good for me because Ive hidden all my DBUs )so if in the future I change to this system I can leave the DBU in place and just have to sort out the wiring .With Bill fetching out a second sound card to do away with the heng long sounds altogether is the real plus with this system Bill said it will be avalable as an upgrade it will just plug in .
    Have just used my last DBC and will fit this system to my next tank Which will probably be the new Sherman .So will order soon and have it ready to fit .

well, in my honest opionion, with this new system (when the sound board is made) being able to do IR battling, and have your own sounds, i think that El-mod mainly is stuffed !! but yes i do feel for David, as he has provided a service that has haelp alot of tankers join in the fun, looks like hes going to have to make a new system again

Looks like a great system Pete. I'll be ordering 2 of these for my Stugs. I didn't have much luck with my Darkith systems. I thought my soldering was good but clearly not that good.
How easy is it to convert the Darkith apple to work on my Tamiya Sherman ?

I just might be tempted to get this for my tiger and the tamiya system for the Sherman but not this month or next, with buying two sets of impact 3:1 reduction gear boxes and the new swing arms and suspension upgrade kit  for the Jagdpanther it will be a while yet

Yes it is the "other" sound card I am really interested in.  Maybe David will help out the DBC crowd and come up with a way to interface it with this sound card.

I think it targets the same market as Creeping Death, rather than Elmod. The complexity of the Elmod system is a considerable way ahead of what these units will do. I do of course agree that its horses for courses, and it is how deep an individuals pockets are that determines how good something is.

Hi Guys If your on a budget these are the only systems that offer good performance and Tamiya compatiblity Darkith was the first but like everything else people always want more and better for there money ,there is a point when its just not possible to make something cheap reliable and still make a profit .Darkiths system is very good and works well ,its sound card is very limited and this is where Bill has seen a way of improving the system,and like most when its new people will want it and praise it then someone else will make something better and it will be rave about that .We are very fickle when new things arrive ,I still think Darkiths system is good but I like others want more sounds .

  Nick Ive never done a Tamiya battle unit Chris(Grompix) is the guy for Tamiya he strips them and hides them so should know if its posible to use them .If your having a problem with the DBC drop me an E-mail and will see if I can help.
