Hi Guys thanks for the input, The hard bit is using it on smooth surfaces it tends to push the bridge instead of engaging it, It has to be a close fit on the lifting ram or the bridge flops all over when lifting ,Thinking of fitting some flat sticky rubber to the back of the bridge to stop it sliding. The other slight problem is outside have to watch the wind if its very windy it will blow the bridge and unbalance it. I Think its the only working scissor bridge in the UK (there is one in Germany at this scale much better than mine), one guy started one but don't think he finished it.

Truly ASTONISHING

It actually looks as if you've incorporated
real hydraulic units in there (are they?). At first sight, the hydraulic rams look like modified mini /dampers shock absorbers from a Car hatchback. If so, that's a brilliant bit of adaptation. But then, how did you get to power them? Is there some sort of air pump, or geared ratchet system in there/ Even more astonishing is the way the tank takes the load on full extension (even with that extra 'leg ' support... a stroke of genius, by the way..

). I suppose it ought to, though, as it's a scale model of the real thing; but calculating the relative weights and turning forces involved, must have been an incredible challenge. Never mind Tank of the Month'. This has to be 'Tank of the year'!

Hi The rams are all electric , geared motors similar these
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221038262865? ... EBIDX%3AIT
the bridge opening is a single motor, the lifting of the bridge is a single motor but slightly bigger , the lay down is two motors similar to the bridge opening , they all drive screw shafts 5mm dia which go into the rams with a nut on the end. It has taken a long time to get the electrics right , changed all the ESCs in the tank and upped the voltage at least once and also changed the geared motors to find the best working ones.

Probably the coolest thing I've seen in show off

. Wish you would have done the operational outdoors across a stream or gully though.
