Awaiting the arrival of Combat History of German Tiger Tank Battalion 503 in World War II from Amazon, this should give me some good photo's to work from(although I do intend to stay quite close to the Tamiya build as this is my first one)

I've also ordered photo etched grills for the engine covers, the gear reduction kit and the support bearings for the idlers.

Can you hear my wallet screaming? 

I think you should have taken a bit more time building it.

The paintwork is too dark, The headlights are too close together and you should not have used a cheap brush as some of the hairs have com e out in the paint......looks like it will handle the gradients ok though..........can I hear the engine purring!

have fun building you tiger i have 4 tamiya tiger 1s thay are a great tank to build  and run i would change the mud flaps to metal ones as thay break i have done all my tigers ane thsupport bearings for the idlers are a must if you are going to run  metal tracks apart from that they are a very reliable runner

The book arrived called "The combat history of German Tiger Tank Battalion 503" Looks really good. Think I'll "losely" base my Tiger on one of theirs, probably 332 as it has the most photo's, but not sure yet.

I used the Aber kit on my own Tiger I it was very fiddly and more than doubled the build time but was worth it in the end, the only thing that may give you trouble is the turret rotation sometimes it can stick other than that they go together nicely metal tracks are not really requires unlike the Tiger II
