Roy, don't download the PDF at paint4models.com just launch it. Then it's interactive and you can put the two brands right next to each other and get the cross reference for paint colors and numbers.

Thanks, Gary, I know. I just thought I'd mention a few salient points about the download option and, as I pointed out, that the database can be configured fully (interactive mode) online.. and that's a useful feature of the website.
At the same time, I thought the thread I might prompt a little discussion on the respective qualities of acrylic paints..
Meantime, old man, how's the territorial fracas going with the neurotic neighbour.. ..or have you found a new twit-free location for you and the furry ones? Hope all's well.

The house hunt continues. I can't help much with acrylics as I don't have a lot of experience with them. Model Master enamels have always been my first choice for paint, but I have used a lot of acrylic clear coats. If anyone knows I'd be interested in hearing comments on using the same airbrush for both enamels and acrylics. Does it hurt anything to go back and forth from water to solvent clean up? Is it better to have two airbrushes, one dedicated to enamel and the other to acrylic? I also have a kind of primer-gun airbrush, is there a big difference in primers between acrylic and enamel? Too many questions? Yeah, well, if you're gonna learn, learn big, eh?
