Although I don't like lights on my tanks, they are very useful as an indicator to see whether it has been left on the bench with the power on. I have lost count of the number of times I have done that when swapping tanks around etc.

I tend to just wire up one or two rear ones, as they are less visible when the tank is running.
For sure the Elmod boards allow it, I can set the lights to anything from nothing to fully bright on a slider control in the configuration program.
The Clark boards have an on/off switch on the left stick control.
I think the IBU does the same, but as I no longer have one, I can't test it to find out.
The IBU2 base model just has the on/off, I have four of them. I've always wanted to try the Elmod, are they Macintosh friendly?

Yes, the software runs on Windows or a Mac. I just wish I could get it to run on Linux, as the only Windows I have is Vista running on a cronky old laptop that takes forever to boot up into Vista.
From the Elmod site:
Scope of Delivery
ready to use electronic board
power supply cables
two connecting plugs for drive motors
all necessary cables for the RC receiver
rotary knob for volume control and connecting cable for loudspeaker
USB cable for connecting with a Windows® or Apple® computer

Thank you for the information. I'm going to try one.
