Really think this is a cool looking tank inside and out! I agree on the metal vs. painting dilemma.. though in the end I would have to say paint as then I can feature it in a diorama and or with scale figures.

Been working so just catching up with posts here - I will be painting for sure and I have all the paints ready to go but I have a lot of mods to do first. Looking to getting started as soon as I can, if only real life didn't intervene so much!
Not sure what a 'ma deuce' is but if I had one I guess I'd have to lock it's handle in the 6 pm position too!
(Then again maybe I'd pop it under the toaster and then smother it in marmalade).

Good morning, Doc,
Ma Deuce = M2 = .50 cal on your M36B. I'm looking forward to your mods and seeing how you plan to improve this beast.
regards,
Painless

Ha! Thanks for the lesson chaps, it's glaringly obvious now you point it out - I must be getting old, just don't catch on as well as I used to

.
Anyway, I have been doing a little work on the 'ma deuce' as it happens as something of a token start on the project. I'll post a pic or two when I get time

No, I'm sticking with the Clark TK22 it came with for now although I might well, as we spoke about a while back, upgrade sound with a Benedini TBS at some point. Otherwise I'm happy with what the TK22 does for now. The internal mod/addition I'm most concerned with involves the Tarr smoker as this has presented a couple of technical problems I hadn't anticipated (I know this sounds a bit cryptic so I will update as soon as I get time).
