I can be a little sensitive, I guess. I appreciate constructive criticism from knowledgeable tankers like the guys here, but not so much the guys that have joined in the last 30 days and just got their first tank, ya know? The fact is, I think the photography and "movie magic" is just as much fun for me as many other aspects of the hobby. Just one more reason i love this hobby so much. It's taken me down roads i never dreamed of and it's been an education and a total blast. But it is just a bit depressing that there is so much distance between RC tankers. I really do want my tank park to be a place that guys can get cool photos and videos of the tanks they work so hard on in a cool background, but most guys are just too far away. I guess I'm just like any other kid and it's always more fun when you got someone to play with.

Yea, wish I was closer to you, I would become a real pest. Keep up the great video's and your experimentation. I for one have learned a great deal from you and your "outside of the box thinking"

I've been doing that for years using plain old flour. No bb's. Only takes about a quarter inch of flour pored from a straw into the barrel. Will give about 3 shots with 1 really good and 2 fairly good effects of smoke before it trails off to nothing. Then shoot 2 or3 bb's to clear out the barrel so any residue left in it can't harden up.
Never had a problem with the stuff gumming up the airsoft bb chamber, but haven't driven tanks very far before firing them.

Hi Gary, I got no PM. Yeah, I saw your tauchpanzer mod, and I would like to do the same to my P III. If I remember correctly you bought some kind of small pipe bender for doing it. So Im looking forward to see how you do it in the PIII.

Hey Rad, sent another PM. Not sure what happened with the first one, so that's why i always say something in the thread when I send one to someone.

I think I have a cunning plan for the blast effect,it came to me whilst thinking about an rc submarine I'm slowly not building.
Long story short, the ballast system uses a standard servo to pinch a pipe closed to trap air in the tanks. So thinking on those lines using a board like the ibu a y lead could be used to control 2 recoil servos,1 servo recoiling the barrel and the second at the same time releasing a pipe connected to a smoke unit.I think I will give it a go on one of the 2 builds I have on at the moment.
