been tinkering....fitted some black steel boxes I had..of course didnt fit straight in, so had to modify the mountings and sprockets to get them in...

..also the gun's cast to be static, but I want it to elevate..so looks like a scratchbuilt gimbles in order...

A Plastic bead works fine as a hull MG mount in a Tiger 1, perhaps you might scale up the bead for the same effect, When properly boxed in the Gun can be easily controlled with a servo,

Not sure this would help ..but
when I build my bumbar all that time ago I used a Christmas Dec ball and filled it with milliput and mounted the barrel ..I hop the pics my be of some use ?
