One of the reasons I didn't buy them - cost and the need for extra bracing.
Could you build a hybrid and use tamiya electrics but taigen chassis etc?
Visually there isn't much difference.

Ad Lav,
Sounds like you're reading my mind. ;o) That's the thing with this build. There are several equally cool roads to take. *chuckles* I'm still leaning towards Tamiya just for the novelty of the kit build. Everything electronic should fit into Giganaut's excellent turret since it is a kit in pieces as well.

Painless

Good afternoon,
After speaking with Eric at IMEX the last couple of days, a real steal was arranged. ;o) One of their Torro top drawer IR KV-2s is on it's way to me to serve as the basis for this early 'Big Barn' build. I'll save the Tamiya Kit for a PZ IV build or Sherman 'Fury' here down the road.

Painless

A couple of Fed-Ex deliveries today so I'll deal with them one by one. ;o) Firstly, IMEX delivers with one of their German based Torro metal edition KV-2s with IR. It is a wonderful tank and it's interesting to see the differences between it and the Taigen KV-1 lower that I used as the base for the 'Palace' last time. A little more research and some extra metal and back-dating of the vehicle and I'll be able to start this build.

Good afternoon, sir,
Just the tip of the iceberg, my friend! I've really got to finish up the tank room here and get my RC-Cola in motion.
