Paul,

Great follow-on, like Shaun said, it makes it even simpler.

I wonder if a Pre-setup Transmitter addendum is called for as I see this whole thread becoming a sticky for the IBU3 section for sure. I certainly understand how this can answer a lot of "n00b" questions that come with new hardware/experiences.

Regards,

Terry

Perhaps when Paul finishes his critique it could be made into a download which would make for easy reference when needed,
Shaun.

Paul Making a PDF seems like a plan,
I would, like you avoid getting entangled in too much detail about radio set up,
More a case of what not to do,
There are too many radios and too many peoples personal preferences.
Shaun.

Just to be clear on this, if I buy an IBU3 but don't have a device with windows 7 or better I won't be able to use it?

I'm pretty sure you've talked me right out of this one, Paul, but I truly thank you for the review. You did a great job, clear and concise, and you just saved me a whole lot of money and frustration. My blood pressure thanks you! I'll stick with the IBU2. I certainly hope there are no plans to discontinue the IBU2. I now have two Asp boards and I think they're very cool but I'm not sure I'll buy anymore, unless they discontinue the IBU2.

Thanks again for the review, Paul, you da man.
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

No plans to discontinue the IBU2 range, it will be supported as before along side the IBU3.

This thread is intended as a review of the board which is why I have not gone into any detail of radio set up. I would like to keep this as a review, but what I will do when it is finished is adapt the content and add to it to make it into a how to PDF file which could then be downloaded from the Forum.

In the meantime if there is anything specific to my set up which you would like to ask about please do.

Paul
Sorry, wasn't clear enough - what I meant was to indicate what (if anything) needed to be done to the transmitter before running the configurator - did you clear any previous setting, do nothing, do a couple switch setups, that kind of thing.

It would be helpful to know that the Configurator doesn't care 100% what you did/didn't do, it will set the board as you run it or....

That make sense?
