I'm happy to hear that you found a kit and it is on the way! I've wanted an Elefant for some time as well. It's a good thing that Hooben\ARC is making them available again. Mine should be in OKC by Friday then here shortly afterwards. Really looking forward to this. ;o) I know that you are as well. I'll be checking out your build so plenty of pics, please. It will be some time before I can begin mine.

The kit arrived today safe & sound from China; At first it looked like it was missing the recoil unit & the gun rotate/elevation unit, but I went back and looked at the addendum instructions that was emailed to me last week, and here they must have figured out a way to make those units obsolete, and it shows you having to build a new platform w/ their supplied servos. It looks like it will not take up as much space as the last version; at least from the reports I have read online. The new suspension arms appear to be pretty beefy, compared to the earlier kits; which is good.?

Good morning,
There are a couple of levels of kit that you can buy. One includes the servos and one doesn't. Check with Hooben. They may have misunderstood and can send you the parts you need.

Hello, I just updated my last entry... I did not see the servos and pieces for the new platform. Did you get your kit? It looks pretty extensive.

Pedal!
Looks sweet! My kit?, Heck no! I just sent an email to RCTanks of OKC asking where mine was since the fellow said he expected it in his hands last Friday. I'm anxious to see this thing. It's been like a Desert Mirage for years now. ;o) Speaking of deserts, you and I built a lot of the same model cars back in the day including that old Rommel-Wagen with the skeletons in it *chuckles* Have fun with your Elefant. I'll be following along!

Mine came in a day early, and thankfully I happened to be here at home when the FedEx guy stopped, since I had to sign for it. I was shocked it only took a few days to get here! The driver said sometimes they can be held up in customs and other times they get right through. Yea, that "rommel" kit was a re-pop kit that my father built a few yrs ago, but I sure remember those Tom Daniels kits when they were new! That is his workshop in his basement, he has since passed away so I wanted to take pics of it to keep. He had an awesome workshop for building garden railroad trains, models and RC stuff! My brother gets all of the machine shop equipment. I might try my hand w/ the lathe there and see if I can make a barrel up for the elefant. (PS: I might order another one of those kits from hooben and hold on to it, since I can see them being hard to get in future.)
