Again good fix..it really does look so much better with that wheel adjusted up higher! Everything else is so accurate that ended up standing out to me.. but now fixed.

And thanks for spotting it Tao, I've done a bit of grinding on the mantlet, the chin seems a bit thick, I can't believe that they would have let the chin foul the hatches? Maybe as it was a late war fix, they did? I've looked at plans from the top down and I think it's close, but still fouling, really weird!

Hi You have it spot on there , when doing repairs I always try to KIS it keep it simple, keeping it simple will in the long run make it more reliable less to go wrong.

I thought this mod was too good to pass up, so pulled the Panther apart and did it. I cut two 2.5mm styrene rectangles to go under the gearboxes, used the gearbox holes to mark where the screw holes needed to be, and bored out two larger holes to clear the screw heads on the bottom of the gearbox case.
Found six longer screws with the same thread, and put it all back together. I filed a few thou off the top of the holes that the driveshafts go through, but couldn't go any further as there are screws on the lower hull.
It all runs perfectly so everything is still in line. Top tip!!
