No pics as Im out at work, but I got those shells in the wooden box too. They are ok, but the warhead is a funny shape.
I used actual ballistic tipped .223 projectiles , scaled up they are 88.96mm so look real smart with the shells.
The tail needs a bit of reducing to fit into the shell cases, but worth it.
Im not sure how hard it is to buy projectiles from a reloaders supplies over there, but worth a try.

Thank you people for the info. Researching the boxed shells tend to confirm my belief that here in the UK, we are badly served in the RC Tank aftermarket, with the exception of poeple like forgebear. I checked the UK Taigen authorised supplier, who only lists a very small range, not including these. I have found before that not only does he have a very limited range, but an awful lot of it is permanently out of stock, which is disappointing. I found 3 sources - Imex in the US. Ozarmour in Australia (who were the cheapest) and Aisatam in Germany.

Regarding the availability of the ballistic tipped bullets, with the firearms law in this country, my chances of getting any of these are about the same as being hit by a flying pig. The suggestion did give me an idea though. More of this later.

Image I knew there would be a use for this lot!
And yes, FA certificates are held for each and everyone.

I make my own ammunition, so have boxes of bullets depending on what I want them to do. The ballistic tipped and soft points are restricted so you have to hold the correct certification to hold and purchase them. The same plastic bag contains the remains of a 155 grain 7.62 copper jacketed round shot into ballistic body armour at 2,750 fps from a range of one hundred yards. The plates were penetrated and the remains were found in the sand of the back stop.

The bullets on the left front are hand made from a special alloy and are intended for accurate long range targets.

I did put a few .233 shell spent shell cases in the post along with the 17HMRs. You'll see that some of them are green. They are military issue and cannot be reloaded without a load of hassle so useless to me. Had I know I would have sent a load more.

Whilst hunting for suitable ammunition, one German web site has single 88mm anti-tank shells. In German an anti-tank shell is a Panzerknacker. Don't you just love it? So much more descriptive.

Good grief! Can't even own fake ammo without a permit? Ya know it's a wonder you guys in the UK are even allowed to buy these toy tanks! WTF do they think you're going to do threaten someone with a fake bullet? I'd think a rock would be more dangerous! Wait are rocks illegal too? What about big sticks? :haha:

Well Jack if you are under 14 you might have a problem buying an airsoft Tank unless accompanied by an adult and as to carrying stones you may well find yourself being charged with going equipped (Car thieves Smash car windows with them to gain entry)
Carrying a stick is fine, Well it is if you can prove why you are carrying it, More than one citizen has been sent to prison for carrying a baseball bat in their car. :haha:
When I was a boy just like all the kids of the day I owned a shiny cap gun in the shape of a Colt 45 peacemaker,
Anyone even a kid toting such a toy today, assuming you could buy one, stands a good chance of being surrounded by armed constabulary and spending an uncomfortable time explaining what you are doing,
I owned a catapult and later when I got to 14 an air pistol and then an air rifle, no problems,
They were quite legal and you were trusted to use your common sense about their use. We used to shoot grey squirrels and take the tails to the Police station where they would pay us 10 shillings per tail ($1) because they were rated as vermin,
Today an adult can own an Air Pistol or Air Rifle but you have to be very careful in the carriage (Gun Bag) of them and where they are used, Never in an area the public have access too,
And yet it is as a countryman relatively easy to buy and license a Shotgun :lolno:
NOT A PUMP ACTION, 8O
I think they hang you from the nearest lamp post for that.
Don't you worry though, I can give a nasty insult if provoked. ;)
Shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:
