Doc, I'm not sure what you mean by the paper punch thing. Can you please expand a bit?

I still don't get what you're using it for. Do you have a photo of the finished product?

OK, I get it now. And yes, I can see where it looks like the neck bolts on old frank.

I've added a couple of logs to my Tigers. I found that the best ones come from Laylandi (sorry about the spelling) conifers. I cut lengths from the horizontal branches then trim them to length, the fine bark fits in with the 1/16th scale. I inherited some land in 2008 and have been cutting the trees down ever since so if anyone wants some bog logs let me know and I'll cut you some lengths.

Thank you, but since you're destroying trees and wildlife, I won't ever ask you or tell you anything again.DRC wrote:I inherited some land in 2008 and have been cutting the trees down ever since so if anyone wants some bog logs let me know and I'll cut you some lengths.

You might want to investigate a bit further before you make that call, David. He may be cutting trees for forest maintenence. Sometimes you need to select cut to keep things from getting too choked up. I know there are times when selectively cutting trees can be very good for a forest. Of course, I don't know if that's the case here, but I thought maybe you'd like to be sure that what DRC is doing is a bad thing before you cut the guy loose. Just my opinion.

Re: BOG-LOGS......CAN I ON THIS ONE ?

After I clear my land, I plant new trees each between 1 and 3 years of age, these are deciduous and are native to Britian. So far I have planted over one hundred and fifty apple trees, many of these are rare varieties such as Pig's Nose, Lord Lambourne, Killerton Sweet, Kingson Blacks, Captain Broad and Tom Putt to name but a few. These trees I purchase from a Welsh plantation which grows rare trees at over 1,000 feet so as to assure only strong vigorous stock.
I have also planted a large number of plum trees, several rows of raspberries and rhubarb. I have kept the wild apple, some bramble and wild sloe trees.
I have fenced the land off with new timber ranch style fencing. This protects the soil's substructure from the wheels of judgemental town folk who have absolutely no idea of country matters. They see a patch of tended grass and immediately think they can drive on it, let their dogs do whatever on it and even ride their horses over it!!
I have also planted over a thousand daffodil bulbs along the roadside to enhance the approaches to the village.
What was once an over grown patch of scrub is now a new orchard that will mature years after I am dead and which I intend to leave to the village as I have one family of my own. I have done all this and I live thirty five miles from my labour of love.
Destroying trees and wildlife? Don't make me laugh!
