Maybe Kiaser, all I know is that the replacement arms went right in without any problems as compared to the arms that came in the box.

Only panthers affected or various kits?
Not had an issue with the kv ones although some were stiff to push in.

I've built four now, Pershing, JS-2, M-51, and the Panther. The Panther is the only one I had difficulty with.

There's a few problems with a run of Panthers. The moulding on the turret also has some problems. Easily fixed but still annoying.

The casting on these Panther arms appears to be pretty low quality compared with the other arms I've seen by Tamiya. They're usable and the poor finish won't be seen but still.

I didn't notice any moulding problems, BUT, maybe I missed something. Care to share what it was you found?

Around the base, probably 5mm from the bottom, there's a slight indent, it's a fraction of a millimeter. I've seen quite a few Panther builds where this is addressed. I''ll add some photos later - it can be filled with milliput or a few layers of Mr Surfacer 500.

So here's a question I can't answer, at what date did the gas detection panels get added? Can't find a date of introduction on that or which of the three factories added them, if at all.

...to my knowledge, since September 1944 - at all factories
