OK, here's my humble little Stug in progress. The tools and stuff are just laid out, still need paint and attaching and lots of other stuff. Then there's digging through the box to see what kind of number decals we have, and I'm thinking about airbrushing the Balkan crosses on this one.

I like it, Del, but I'm wondering why you did that? Have you seen photos of a Stug with that done? And what about the light? Does it get moved to a new location or do they just use the notek light, or what? Speaking of the notek light, have you thought about making that functional? I've been thinking about it but if you looked into it and found an insurmountable obstacle or something that would save me some time.

And did you make that speaker box? If so, fine job, if not, where did you buy it?

And I don't know what you used on the tracks but they look very, very good.

Sorry for all the questions, but that's a fine lookin' Stug so I'm trying to learn all I can about how it was done.

I don't mind the questions at all buddy.
I took the light off because after looking around I couldn't see one in action with a big ol head lamp in that position. That left a hole in the deck so I thought of getting a brass kit but I just happened to take a pair of wheels off of the cat and drop them on the front out of her way and I liked it,so that was that.
I hadn't thought of making the notek light work but now you've mentioned it my brains ticking,it's no smaller than a set of lights I made for a helicopter interior so it's probably possible.

The speaker box came from Tankzone,it's just their standard Hl upgrade speaker.

If you look in the tips forum at blueing metal tracks,my technique is the last post on the thread.I use the same blueing fluid as the others but just drag the tracks through it in stead of brushing or spraying.

Thanks for the info, Del. Very helpful. I think maybe tomhugil (sp?) has done the notek light mod, and also Ausf may have so I'll see if I can find any info on that. It's something that's been making my brain tick as well. :)

I think I'm going to pick up one of those speaker boxes, if nothing else just so I can see how it's made.

I'll check out the bluing thread.
