hl jagdpanther upper hull

Arranged to meet Phil (Tiger3818) at the Washington club last night and got a chance to try out his HL Jagdpanther hull top on a Tamiya Panther chassis I bought 2nd hand on e-bay a while ago.

Lo and behold! The fit is near perfect. I reckon that removing the screw post under the front of the HL hull will result in a perfect fit.

I think I feel another hybrid coming on!!! 

I brought the HL hull home last night and took some pics :-

Hi Paul I can see on the horizon three models on one chassis you have the Panther G now buy the heng long Jagdpanther upper this is the second model and when the Heng long panther arrives buy the upper again and convert to bergpanther how dose this sound for a plan.Then the turret you have removed make it into a gun emplacement using the BSU and an rx 18 board it will be compatble with tamiya .No waste and 4 models.

Has any one tried putting an hl jagdpanther upper hull on a tamiya panther lower hull i was thinking of doing this as i have a tamiya panther and would love a jagdpanther but can’t afford a tamiya one?

hi Chris i got my hl jagd panther upper hull at cobbo from Dave (forgebear) for£15 

heres some pics the last one is with all the hl mounting posts removed it fits a treat

Paul, that is one interesting prospect, basically you get two Tamiya's for the price of one? Can't beat that.

Don't the Tamiya Panther and Tamiya Jagdpanther have different size road wheels if not I have the Tamiya Panther could buy the tamiya Jagdpanther upper hull and parts and just swap upper hulls and use the lower hull and DMD and MF units and get two tanks for half the price of one . I know this is about the HL upper hull but I want to go the other way .

i fitted a tamiya recoil last night with a little filing and sanding it fits  as the hl jadg panther upper hull i have is the ir hull it has i ally barrel and the flash fits down it a treat next is to fit the elevation
