I wouldnt let the not enough room under there be an issue.
If planned properly you can have a nice scale looking ride for cheap.

Check out my yamaha rhino build....everything had to fit under that body.had to convert a nitro car to electric,add an aditional tranny to slow her down,fabricate driveshafts...ect.
Still a work in progress.
