Igotit, those are metal tracks as this is the Taigen model, but I also have the HL M41 and that has plastic tracks and GBs and I gave it to my nephew, who beats the crap out of it and it's still running strong after two years.
Thats very good info to know....thanx

she arrived yesterday, put 4 runs on her.

heres what i like
plenty power with factory gearbox, creeps very slowly, decent speed.this tank is the right size i was looking for.
i like the steering modes.if you just steer from a stop she will spin both tracks in opposite directions.if you creep and steer, just 1 track spins.

things i dont like
if your going slow and steer left, she steers right and gains speed for 1 second before steering left.
anything over 1/3 throttle she steers fine.

Is yours the 2.4 version?....If not...does your controller have trims....found messing with the adjustments helped quite a bit in slow maneuvering ....The downside is I'm pretty sure HL removed the trim on the later models ...on the second gen 2.4 they are gone also...interestingly enough...they put one back on the 3rd gen 2.4
really sensitive....but on the M1 it helps a lot.... ;)

Have you hung a bucket on it yet?
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!
