I was referring to the question if my cousin was somebody on the forum who also painted nice figures

I had a feeling he would say acrylics. There's a great article in the latest FineScale Modeler magazine about doing faces with acrylics and I'm seriously considering giving it a try. The only hold up right now is initial start-up cost. You need a half dozen to a dozen basic colors to get started with and these paints can be as much as four dollars a bottle so until I get the cat all squared away I'm still in the "don't-spend-any-money" mode, but after that I really want to try these techniques. I think the dragon warrior series of figures have the quality of sculpting necessary for a rookie like me to get decent results. That's why all I did with the ones so far is an airbrushed light skin tone that should make a good primer if I repaint later.

He also uses/ likes oil as it has a slower drying time and easy to blend. All depends what you prefer to work with on each project etc. But he's having a blast and will post the next round when ready

OH.... ...OK ...if you have the time ...try searching for Ardennen.. His figures look remarkably similar in style

I can see that..his work is good! I Really like the two Stalingrad figures a lot!

This Alpine figure comes with two different head versions..

Excellent skin tones; but the eyes have it. Acrylics dry much faster than oil paints, but can be thinned with water.
By the way, Alpha, how on Earth do you do those 'spoiler' interjections?
