I think it is longer but narrower. As you can approximate, it won't fit two Taigen stock speakers, which is slightly smaller than Heng Long's.With the Clark board (Same size as HL RX-18/Taigen MFU) and the smoker length wise, I can't even get the stock battery to lay down flat.

On Tiger I had the battery on the side running board..on the KT I took out the locking stuff and put it on the upper back.
That then opens up the whole hull. Though I also did one with the battery inside hull and these thin Lipos give a lot of options.
FRS-8 should fit fine with acoustic smoker just have to size speaker enclosure to fit or even use a round one.
